Selling a package
Where: Settings, Services (the price book), then any invoice.
A package is a pack of visits paid for up front: six training sessions, ten dog walks, four massages. To sell one:
- In Settings, Services, add a service for the pack (“6-session pack”, $450) and fill in Visits in a pack with the number of visits (6). Leave that box blank on a normal service.
- Put that service on an invoice like any other line. When the invoice is paid, by card, by cash or by any other way you record, the client’s card gets a Packages group that reads “6-session pack: 6 left”.
Using it up happens on its own. When your crew marks a job for that client done, and the job is booked under the pack’s name, one visit comes off: “6-session pack: 5 left”. The booking modal tells you ahead of time (“6-session pack: Uses 1 of the remaining 5”) and the crew’s job card says “Pack: 4 left after today”. Undo done gives the visit back. A pack never goes below zero and a pack that has run out of time is left alone.
If your visits are booked under a different name than the pack (you sell a “6-lesson pack” but book “Private lesson”), press Count any visit on the pack and every job marked done for that client counts.
When one visit is left, the Package almost done switch on Automations sends the client your message once, as a text if they said texts are OK, otherwise an email. The default says “Hi {first}, you have one visit left on your {package} with {business}. Want to keep going? Book your next pack here: {booking_link}”. Change the words on the Automations page; the switch is on from the start on every plan.
