Common questions
Do my field crew need a paid seat?
No. Crew logins are free on every plan: 5 on Starter, unlimited on Growth and Scale. They see only their jobs, never your money.
Can I text my clients from HoundBell?
Yes, from a number that belongs to your business. Growth and Scale include it; Starter adds it for $10 a month. Consent is collected on your forms, STOP is honored automatically, and texts only send between 7am and 9pm.
Do prices ever go up on me?
Not if you are one of the first 100. Your founding number ($47, $97, or $177) is locked for the life of your account; only new customers pay list.
What counts as a full user?
Anyone who works in the app beyond their own job list: leads, quotes, calendar, and so on. Crew logins are free and do not count.
What is a location?
A separate business inside your account with its own branding, forms, pipelines, and money. Every plan includes one; Scale can add more for $29/month each.
Is anything metered?
Leads, contacts, forms, quotes, contracts, invoices, and bookings are never counted or capped. The optional add-ons are the exception: receptionist minutes and HoundSignal’s scored posts come with monthly allowances, published with their prices above. Scout has no meter at all: a flat $27/month, $19 for Founding Members, included on Scale.
Can I bring my clients from another CRM?
