Jobber is good software. It is also, for a lot of owners, more software and more monthly bill than the business actually needs. Automated reminders and texting sit in the $99-and-up tiers, per-user pricing stacks quickly, and if your leads come from your own website you are still working through an embedded widget.
The short answer: The best Jobber alternative depends on what you actually use. For WordPress-based businesses that want lead capture through payment in one tool from $49 per month, HoundBell. For maid services on a budget, ZenMaid. For dispatch-heavy crews, Housecall Pro. For marketing agencies managing clients, GoHighLevel.
I have set service businesses up on most of the tools below through my agency work since 2017. Here are the seven worth your time, with current published pricing where the vendor makes it public.
The 7 best Jobber alternatives, compared

| 3. ZenMaid | $19/mocaps at 40 appointments/mo; $39 for unlimited | Maid services on a budget | Scheduling only: no quotes, contracts, or invoicing |

1. HoundBell: for businesses that run on WordPress

Most local service businesses already have a WordPress website, and that website is where the leads come from. HoundBell starts there instead of asking you to migrate. A free plugin renders your lead forms natively in your own theme, no iframes, and every submission becomes a lead on a pipeline board the moment it arrives, priced with your average job value and stamped with the ad or search that sent it.
From that lead you can do the whole money path in one place: send a quote the client accepts from their phone, turn it into an e-signed service agreement with a full audit trail, invoice it, take card payment powered by Stripe, and book the job on a calendar your website checks before offering times. A Daily Brief tells you every morning who to contact and how much money is sitting on the table.
- From $49 per month, everything included and nothing metered; 14-day free trial with no credit card
- Forms, pipeline, quotes, contracts, invoices, payments, bookings, and review requests in one login
- The $99 Team plan includes 15 seats, about $6.60 a seat next to roughly $24 a seat on Jobber’s five-user Connect plan
- Industry templates for cleaning, landscaping, roofing, plumbing, home services, and more
- Your data exports to CSV any time
The honest limits: lead forms render on WordPress sites, so a Wix or Squarespace site cannot embed them yet, though every plan now includes a hosted booking link that takes bookings with no website at all. It still does not do GPS crew tracking or route optimization. See everything it does and what is coming.
2. Housecall Pro: for dispatch-heavy teams
The closest like-for-like Jobber replacement. Basic runs $59 to $79 per month for one user, Essentials $149 to $189 for five. You get the strongest dispatch board in the category, route optimization, and a polished customer booking flow. Watch the per-user math: extra seats on Essentials are $100 per month each. Full comparison in Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
3. ZenMaid: for maid services on a budget
ZenMaid does one vertical, residential cleaning, and does it cheaply and well. Plans run $19 per month for up to 40 appointments, $39 for unlimited, and $49 with availability and PTO tracking. Scheduling, dispatch, digital checklists, and cleaner GPS on the mobile app. If you run a maid service and mostly need scheduling, it is the value pick. It is not built for quoting custom work or contracts.
4. GoHighLevel: for agencies
GoHighLevel is an agency platform, not an owner tool: $97 per month for three client sub-accounts, $297 for unlimited. Funnels, SMS and email campaigns, and white labeling. If you are a marketing agency running lead generation for many clients it is powerful. Worth knowing: automatic quote and invoice follow-ups, the core of what that $97 entry price sells, are included on every HoundBell plan. If you are a business owner it is a lot of platform to learn, and most owners end up using a tenth of it. HoundBell was born as the simpler answer here, and agencies can still run one workspace per client with view-only client logins.
5. Workiz: for locksmiths, junk removal, and field crews
Workiz covers scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, and phone-call tracking with a strong following in locksmith, junk removal, and appliance repair niches. Pricing is by team size on its current plans. Worth a look if inbound phone calls, not web forms, are your main lead source.
6. Service Autopilot: for larger lawn care operations
Service Autopilot goes deep on recurring route-based work: master schedules, chemical tracking, and accounting integrations that bigger lawn and snow operations need. The depth comes with a learning curve and an onboarding cost that make most one-to-three crew companies bounce. If that is you, start simpler.
7. HoneyBook: for solo and creative service pros
HoneyBook handles proposals, contracts, invoices, and scheduling with the best-looking client experience on this list. It is aimed at photographers, planners, and consultants more than trades, and there is no dispatch or crew concept. If you sell projects rather than truck rolls, it belongs on your shortlist. How to choose
Ask two questions. First, where do your leads come from? If the answer is your WordPress website, pick the tool that lives there: HoundBell (from $49 per month, nothing metered). Second, what is the one workflow you cannot live without? Dispatch board: Housecall Pro. Cheap cleaning scheduling: ZenMaid. Client campaigns at agency scale: GoHighLevel. Everything else is feature-list noise.
