Connect Google Business Profile
Where: Settings, Integrations, Google reviews card.
This is a Growth and Scale feature. Once your plan includes it, connecting takes a minute.
- Click Connect Google Business Profile.
- Sign in with the Google account that manages your business listing and approve access.
- If that account manages more than one location, pick the one that is this business from the list HoundBell shows you.
HoundBell starts pulling your reviews right away, and the automatic replies described in Answer every Google review, automatically begin working with whatever star threshold and voice you set on the same card.
About the permission Google asks for. When you connect, Google says HoundBell wants to “see, edit, create and delete” your business listings. Google offers only that one permission for reviews, so every reviews tool you have ever connected asked for the same thing. HoundBell uses it for two jobs: reading the reviews on the one location you pick, and posting replies you wrote or approved. It never changes your hours, address, photos, or anything else on the listing, and it never removes a listing. Disconnect from Settings at any time; that deletes the stored key and tells Google to revoke HoundBell’s access. The privacy policy spells this out in section 13.
Disconnecting. Settings, Google reviews, Disconnect. HoundBell stops pulling reviews and posting replies immediately and forgets its access to your Google account. Anything already posted to Google stays exactly as it was.
