Automations: switches that do the follow-up
Open Automations in the sidebar. It is a list of switches. Each one says in one sentence what happens when it is on. Turn it on and it runs. There is nothing to build.

- Text new leads right away (Scale). A new lead gets a text within two minutes. No reply in an hour, they get an email. Still nothing the next day, it lands on your Daily Brief so you call them.
- Say we got it. The instant “we received your request” email.
- Chase quotes and invoices. Day 3 and day 7 nudges on quotes; day 3, day 7 and the day after due on invoices.
- Ask for a review after the job. One request per client, a couple of hours after the job or the payment.
- Say sorry for a missed call. The text that goes out when you miss a call on your business number.
- Bring back old customers (Scale). The come-back email after your chosen number of days without a booking, then a text a week later if they said texts are OK. Each customer gets this at most twice a year.
- Text the crew their day. Every morning at the hour you pick, each crew member with a phone on their account gets today’s jobs in order, with addresses and the My jobs link. Add their cell when you invite them, or they add it on their Account page.
- Thank people who refer a friend (Scale). When a friend books through a customer’s referral link, the customer gets a thank-you with the reward you set on Campaigns.
Under Text new leads right away, Chase quotes and invoices, and Ask for a review after the job, you see the words the client will get, written for your trade and filled with their name, the service, and their pet’s name when they have one; click Edit wording to use your own words, and clear the box to go back to the trade’s.

Newer switches, same idea:
- Remind clients the day before (every plan, on from the start). Between 4 PM and 9 PM, a confirmed visit for tomorrow gets one reminder by email and, with consent, by text. Never twice.
- Charge the card when the job is done. Done bills the visit: the card on file is charged and the receipt goes out, or an invoice with a pay link is emailed instead. A second switch asks for a tip on the receipt.
- Package almost done (every plan). When a client has one visit left on a pack, they get your wording once, by text or email.
- Nudge for the next visit (Scale). After a job for a client not on a recurring plan, one nudge to book again at your trade’s usual interval.
- Welcome new customers with their referral link (Scale). A day after a client is won, one thank-you with their own referral link.
- Spring and fall check-ins (Scale). First week of March and September, one email to every customer, never twice in 150 days.
Rules that are always on: every chain stops the moment the person replies, books, pays, or says yes to a quote, or the moment you write a note on their card. No texts before 8 AM or after 8 PM in your time zone. No text to anyone who did not say texts are OK; they get the email instead. Every message shows on the client’s card with a note that Automations sent it.
