Zapier recipes: Google Sheets, Slack, and Zoom
Three ready-made recipes using the HoundBell Zapier app (see Connect HoundBell to Zapier first). Each takes about five minutes.
Recipe 1: Every new lead lands in a Google Sheet
- Create a Google Sheet with header row: Name, Email, Phone, Service.
- New Zap → Trigger: HoundBell → New Lead → connect with your API key → Test (it pulls your recent real leads).
- Action: Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row → pick your sheet and worksheet.
- Map each column from the Insert data panel: Name → Lead Name, Email → Lead Email, Phone → Lead Data Phone, Service → Lead Service.
- Test (a row appears), then publish. Every website form and booking page submission now writes itself into the sheet.
Recipe 2: A Slack ping the moment an invoice is paid
- New Zap → Trigger: HoundBell → Invoice Paid.
- Action: Slack → Send Channel Message → connect Slack, pick the channel.
- Message text, mapping the chips where names appear: 💰 Invoice #Invoice Number paid: $Invoice Total (Invoice Paid Via).
- Test, publish. Card payments and manual mark-paids both fire it.
Recipe 3: A Zoom meeting for every confirmed booking
Perfect for consultations and estimates that happen over video.
- New Zap → Trigger: HoundBell → Booking Confirmed.
- Action: Zoom → Create Meeting → connect your Zoom account.
- Topic: map Booking Title. Start time: map Booking Date and Booking Time. Duration: map Booking Duration Minutes.
- Optional extra step: Email by Zapier → Send Outbound Email to the client with the Zoom join link from step 2.
- Test, publish. Confirm a booking in HoundBell and the meeting exists before you’ve closed the tab.
The same pattern works for thousands of apps: pick a HoundBell trigger, pick any action. If you build a recipe worth sharing, tell us and we’ll add it here.
