Every email HoundBell sends, and when
All app emails come from notifications@houndbell.com. When your client replies to a quote, invoice, reminder, or receipt, the reply goes to your email address, not to HoundBell.
Reminder-style emails (review requests and automatic follow-ups) carry a one-click Unsubscribe link. A client who uses it stops receiving those nudges permanently, and their lead card shows an amber note with the opt-out date. Emails you send by hand still work. Emails they ask for directly (receipts, booking confirmations, quotes, and invoices you send) always still arrive.
| Goes to | When | |
|---|---|---|
| New lead notification | You | A form on your site is submitted |
| Quote | Your client | You click Send quote |
| Quote reminder | Your client | You click Remind, or automatic follow-ups fire (day 3 and day 7 while unanswered) |
| Quote accepted / declined | You | The client answers a quote |
| Invoice | Your client | You click Send invoice (and each recurring copy) |
| Invoice reminder | Your client | You click Remind, or automatic follow-ups fire (day 3, day 7, and the day after it goes overdue) |
| Receipt | Your client | An invoice is paid by card or marked paid |
| “You got paid!” | You | Any invoice is paid: by card, or marked paid by hand (cash, check, Zelle) |
| Review request | Your client | ~2 hours after a paid invoice or finished booking, if automatic review requests are on (once per client, ever) |
| Team invitation | Your team member | You add them with the invitation box checked |
If an expected email is missing, check the spam folder first, then see My client says they never got the quote or invoice.
