Record a cash, check, or Zelle payment, and the “I sent it” button

Where: any invoice, and the invoice’s public pay page.

Not every client pays by card. When someone pays with cash, a check, Zelle, Venmo, or an e-transfer, there are two ways it gets recorded.

  • The client tells you first. On the public invoice page, they can click I sent it and note how they paid. That sends you a heads up so you can confirm the money actually landed.
  • You record it directly. Open the invoice and click Record payment, choose the method, and enter the amount. This marks the invoice paid (or partially paid) without waiting on anything from the client.

Either way, the payment shows on the invoice, on the client’s card, and in your Books ledger next to card payments, so your revenue numbers never leave anything out just because it did not run through Stripe or Square.
